• Welcome to St. Philip School. 

    When we first opened our doors in 1915, we were hailed as one of the finest grade schools in the Pittsburgh Diocese. 101 years later, we still maintain that reputation.

    At St. Philip, we have long understood that children deserve a safe, happy and productive environment to foster their natural desire to learn.  We are committed to providing that environment, rooted in a faith-based Catholic education. 

    We continuously strive to provide the highest quality academic curriculums for our students. Our most recent addition for the 2016-17 school year is a dedicated STEAM Lab for Grades K-8.  Our goal is to facilitate greater hands-on learning, creativity and collaboration in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.

    We pride ourselves on our many Classroom+ initiatives including academic enrichment, student assistance programs, extracurricular activities, instructional and competitive sports, and a robust performance, music and fine arts program. 

    In 2014, St. Philip won the Sadlier Catholic Identity Award, a national honor bestowed on only one school annually in the hosting Diocese of the National Catholic Educational Association.  The award recognizes premier faith formation curricula, such as our trademark Angel Way Virtues Program.
