  • The St. Philip Gift Card program is one of the primary ways to earn your Fundraising Quota (FRQ). St. Philip School participates in the Shop with Scrip program by Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) which allows the school to earn a small percentage of the face value of gift cards sold through the program.  Families purchase gift cards at face value through St. Philip, use them instead of cash or credit cards, and raise money for the school while earning FRQ credit.  

     

    GLSC offers gift cards from over 300 retailers nationwide. Popular categories include:

    • ClothingGas
    • Groceries
    • Clothing
    • Department Stores
    • Home Improvement
    • Hotels
    • Movie Theaters
    • Sporting Goods
    • Restaurants

    How it Works:

    • Great Lakes Scrip Center negotiates with national retailers to buy gift cards at a discounted rate.
    • St. Philip School purchases gift cards from Scrip below face value.
    • St. Philip families order gift cards through our school coordinator or on-line at GLSC for the full face value of the gift card.
    • The difference between the GLSC discount, and the full face value, is the percent of revenue the school receives and the FRQ amount the St. Philip family who purchased the card receives.  For example, if you spend $500 at Giant Eagle each month, you can earn 5% in FRQ credit ($50) each month by purchasing your Giant Eagle gift cards from SPS.

    Gift Card Categories:

    • In-Stock Gift Cards:  In-Stock Cards are easy to order and come home with your child the same day! They include stores that you may frequent, like Giant Eagle and Starbucks, and will help build your FRQ quickly! Check the In-Stock Gift Card page for the complete list of retailers.
    • Special Order Gift Cards and On-line Ordering: If you're looking for a gift card that's not on our In-Stock list, chances are you'll find it on the Great Lakes Scrip Center website by clicking "Retailers."  On-Line ordering is available 24/7 but if you would like to place your order through our school coordinator, simply complete the Special Order form on the Special Order Gift Card page.
    • Holiday Low Denomination Gift Cards:  A variety of cards, perfect for gift giving, are available through the school, during the holiday season while supplies last!  For more information, please refer to the Holiday Low Denomination Gift Card page.
    FRQ Credit: Your FRQ account will be credited the percentage noted on the gift card order forms and the on-line order form.
