Sr. Annina Fox Fund

  • A tax-deductible gift to the Sister Annina Fox Fund helps provides flexible operating funds for St. Philip School.

Since the Fund was established in September 2006, over $100,000 has been donated.

These funds serve as both a financial safety net for emergencies as well as a means of investing in St. Philip School's future. Examples of when funds are used include paying an usually large heating bill during an exceptionally cold winter, buying new educational materials or technologies for the students; or covering the cost of necessary repairs or refurbishment to school facilities.

Sister of Charity Annina Fox was among the very first students to graduate from St. Philip School, which was founded in 1915.

Annina entered the first grade at SPS two years later, in 1917, and graduated in 1925.

She became a Mother Seton Sister of Charity in 1937, and returned to the beloved school of her childhood to serve as SPS Principal from 1958 - 1964.

For many years afterward, she continued to serve as a devoted school librarian, teacher, and volunteer and remained involved with the school until her death in 2010.  The fund that bears her name continues to help SPS thrive and grow.
