• Our students take the Terra Nova Test annually each Spring. The tests measure the following proficiencies:

    • Reading and Math in all Grades
    • Science and Social Studies in Grades 1-8
    • Language Arts in Grades 3-8
    • If a student is performing at grade level, their score should match their grade level at the time the test was administered. So for example, since the test was given in April - seven months into the school year - a student in the second grade should score 2.7 if he or she is performing at grade level.
    • We are proud to say that in every subject, St. Philip’s average scores are well above grade level. Our 8th grade Science average, for example, is three grade levels above the expected score.
    • SPS 2014-15 Terra Nova Test Results
    • Note: Since tests were taken first week in April, 2015, Grade Level at test time = actual grade plus 7 months (.7).
