• St. Philip's annual Ice Skating Event held at The Rink at PPG Place has become a beloved school community tradition to kick off the holiday season! Friends, family and neighbors are welcome and many who attend make a day of it and hit some of downtown, Pittsburgh's seasonal attractions after skating.
     
    Date: Sunday, December 11 2016
     
    Time: 9:00 AM –  11:00AM
               *you can skate anytime all day once you get your wrist band!  
     
    Place: The Rink at PPG Place, Two PPG Place, Pittsburgh PA 15222
     
    Cost: Skater - $10 *Includes Skates & allows you to skate any time, ALL DAY!!!
               Non Skater - $5
     
    Tickets: No tickets will go home. Everyone will check in (by last name) at the rink
     
    Parking: Free Street Parking on Sundays! A parking garage is adjacent to the rink.
     
    Refreshments: Breakfast Treats, Snacks, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Water
     
    Post Skating Attractions:
    • Visit The Wintergarden at PPG Place to enjoy live seasonal music and see the International Santa exhibit; the annual Gingerbread House Competition (won by SPS in 2014); and a train display by local artist Don Jones. Free to the public, the hall opens at 9:00 AM.
    • Walk over to the Christmas Village at Market Square to shop local artisans, visit with Santa, and have lunch.
    • Take a trolley ride from PPG Place to see The Pittsburgh Creche at the US Steel Tower Plaza.  The Pittsburgh Creche is the world’s only authorized replica of the Nativity Creche that stands outside of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
