How Well Can You Spell? It is time for our 10th Annual Spell-A-Thon!
The St. Philip Spell-A-Thon is an annual Fundraiser that benefits the Sr. Annina Fox Fund!
How Spell-A-Thon Works:
- Teachers give the students 50 spelling words that the students had earlier in the year.
- Students have the next few weeks to review the words.
- Students ask family and friends to sponsor them.
- Sponsors can pledge in two ways:
1. Pledge an amount for each word they get correct.i.e. Donor (Dad) = Amount per a word (25¢)2. Sponsors can pledge per word or offer a flat donation.
Important Spell-A-Thon Dates:
- February 15: Word lists go home with student. Students begin asking family and friends for pledges.
- March 4: Completed Pledge Forms Returned to School
- March 14: Spell-A-Thon Week! Teachers give spelling words aloud and students will spell the words on a special form.
- March 21: Corrected spelling papers are sent home with the correct number of words at the top! Students collect donations from their sponsors.
