PROJECT FOR 4TH QUARTER (TO BE STARTED NOW!)

Picture dictionaries: to be turned in 4th quarter, but started now

           1. Include all of the categories (and the words from those categories) in your dictionary. You have the words in your Spanish notebooks, online on Quizlet, and I will also provide some list copies to you. ALL of the words are to be included in your pictue dictionary.

(We will update the dictionaries periodically with more categories and vocabulary words)

    1. I prefer that pictures come from magazines and only a few get printed or hand drawn. Look for photos that are unusual and will help you remember the word in Spanish – something that “resonates” with you! (Dali – clocks, watermelon clock)
    2. Categories must be divided and labeled so that they will be easy to find.
    3. All pictures are to be labeled neatly in both English and Spanish, printed by hand.

    Categories:

                Classroom vocabulary

Family words (you can use real family photos, if you would like) (one photo with many labels)

                Clothing

Foods (drinks, protein, vegetables, fruit, desserts, miscellaneous)

Body parts (label all parts on one big picture)

Numbers (no pictures, just write the word in Spanish next to the number: 1 – uno, 2 – dos, etc.)

    Seasons

    Weather vocabulary

Colors (you can just show the color, then write the word in Spanish)

GRADE 7: Telling time homework page: part 1 is due on Thursday, part 2 is due on Friday, and we will do part 3 in class on Friday. Also, continue studying the TENER expressions for tests.

The project pages for the imperfect and preterite endings is due on Wednesday, October 3rd. You are being given a lot of extra time to do these, so please have them in on the due date. IF YOU ARE EXPECTING ME TO PRINT THESE FOR YOU, MAKE CERTAIN THAT I HAVE THEM A FULL DAY BEFORE THEY ARE DUE SO THAT I CAN HAVE THEM TURNED IN WITH YOUR CLASS'S WORK.

You should be studying the basic vocabulary EVERY DAY so that you know it well this year. These are words you have already had, so it should only take you a few minutes a day to study any that you may have forgotten. It is your responsibility to know the vocabulary whether or not you are being retested on it. You will need to know it for test translations.

The prayer recitation of Gloria al Padre is due on October 8th. It is copied below for your convenience.

A la Santa Trinidad (Glory Be)

These tests are worth a lot of points; please study and be ready for the tests.

The Padre Nuestro prayer recitation is due on October 8th. It is copied below for your convenience. You may also listen to it on Youtube; search for the "Padre Nuestro slow to fast" video. It will help you memorize the prayer and gives you the correct pronunciation, too.
