• We love to celebrate Birthdays in 3B but there are a few things to keep in mind.

    1. Please contact me prior to sending in your child’s birthday treat. I like to make sure that we have enough time to enjoy each student’s celebration which requires rearranging the way our day is planned.

    2. Simple is best! I understand that parents want to make each and every birthday a special memory for their child, but an elaborate treat is not always the best way to accomplish that goal. I would suggest sending in one of the following items: 2 small prepackaged cookies (Oreo size) or 1 large cookie (Bakery sized), 1 brownie, 2 donut holes or a popsicle.

    3. Please ONLY send in treats for the students in 3B, because we are unable to pass out snacks to the students of other classrooms. One thing that we are trying to teach the students is how to be considerate of others around them and do not want to interrupt the learning of other classrooms with our birthday celebrations!

    4. Please do not send in any food item containing nuts. There are many students who have food allergies.

    5. Please preslice treats like brownies. This helps to allow the students to independently pass out their treat. It can be very time consuming and sometimes difficult to prepare a birthday snack that needs to be sliced.

    6. Please send in plates or napkins to serve treats on.

    7. Summer birthdays will be celebrated during the month of May. I will send home a reminder at the end of the year to plan an appropriate time to celebrate.

    8. Lastly, Birthday Party Invitations can be sent home through school only if every child in room 3A and 3B are invited!

Happy Birthday!
