Printing/Manuscript

    This is the model that we are using for 
    handwriting. Called Manuscript, 
    this chart shows printed letter 
    forms. If you would like a 
    printing chart for use at home, 
    please send a note and I will gladly
    send one for you.

    Handwriting grades are taken 
    on spelling tests, English 
    papers, etc. The grades for 
    handwriting are S=Satisfactory 
    and NI=Needs Improvement. If 
    your child needs more help with 
    printing, try some of the 
    workbooks available at Wal-Mart 
    or Target. Make certain their 
    style matches ours: 
    Zaner-Bloser block letters. If you 
    need help finding something, let 
    me know.

Cursive

    This is the model 
    that we are using for 
    handwriting. Called cursive, or
    handwriting, this chart shows
    cursive letter forms. 

    A cursive chart detailing the
    strokes for all upper and lower
    case letter will be sent for use at home.

    No cursive writing will be used
    outside of handwriting class at
    this time. After all letter forms
    are learned, cursive writing will
    be applied to a limited degree. 
    This will not take place until
    later in the 4th quarter.
