READ to your child every night! It is the best kind of homework and the most
fun!
PRACTICE printing your first name AND LAST NAME. Use a capital for your
special first letter and the other letters lowercase!
Recognize the capital AND lowercase letters of the alphabet. Try printing
those lowercase letters.
Practice shoe tying! This is very hard for the K kids. Can you put on your
shoes if they come off?
Practice zipping coats!!! Can you put on your coat and pull up your pants?
Don't forget to write your name on the tags of all coats and jackets and
sweatshirts.

JANUARY 7, 2019 = HOMEWORK HAS INCREASED to 4 DAYS a Week because we are starting
SPELLING WORDS.
All Homework will be sent home in the BLUE FOLDER. Please return it there
too! Please try to have your student do his or her homework the night it is
given and send it back the next day. I will keep reminding the children that
homework is their job, just like going to school is their job.
Please remember the following:
* The children must print his/her name on each paper.
* PLEASE USE A PENCIL FOR PRINTING AND CRAYONS FOR COLORING.
* Parents should sign the top of each homework paper.
MONDAY and WEDNESDAY are still Reinforcement Paper Days! You will see the week's
Spelling Words listed on a colored sheet of paper each Monday! Read them with your kiddo.
TUESDAY = The Spelling Notebook will come home in the Blue Homework Folder. Your child will
write each word three times to help them rememeber it!
Wednesday Morning we will have a Pretest!
THURSDAY = The Spelling Notebook will come home again. The kids need to write simple senteces
using the words from this week's list.
Friday Morning will be the real Spelling Test!
